Ireland’s Daniel Coyle on top of the $220’000 Longines FEI World Cup Grand Prix in Wellington.

It was Ireland’s Daniel Coyle and Cita (Casall) who bested the field of top riders in yesterday’s  $220’000 Longines FEI World Cup Grand Prix in Wellington on the wonderful grass ring of family Jacobs.
The 1’60m class presented by Sovaro saw five riders qualify for the shortened track were first to go, Israel’s Danielle Goldstein and Lizziemary (Cabri D’Elle) had one fence down for 4th place. Same result for McLain Ward and HH Callas (Albatros) who’d settle for 5th. Margie Engle and her powerful stallion Royce (Cafe au lait) jumped the first double clear in 35’30 for 3rd place right behind Laura Kraut and Confu (Contact Me) who’d finish 2nd with a time 0’16 tenths faster. Daniel Coyle and Cita went all in to stop the timers in 34’74 and claim the win of this woorld cup qualifier Grand Prix in Wellington.
