McLain Ward aboard Tradition de la Roque won yesterday’s evening major event at the American Gold Cup in North Salem.
The $70’000 Fidelity Investment 1’50m class saw eleven rider and horse combiantions advance to the jump off where McLain Ward and Reed Kessler’s Tradition de la Roque (Kannan) who are competing together for the second time, jumped the fastest of six clears to claim the win ahead of Ireland’s Capt Bryan Cournane and Penelope Cruz (Ustinov) and Adrienne Sternlicht and Fantast (Toulon) who took 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
