The Swiss riders proved unbeatable in yesterday’s Grand Prix of Helsinki presented by Land Rover that saw Steve Guerdat and his new ride, Alamo (Ukato) top the standings.
Guilherme Jorge proposed a 13 fences track with a tricky triple combination but finally 13 entries qualified for the jump off. First to go was rising star Evelina Tovek and Castello 194 (Cristallo) and secured a steady clear to finally finidsh in 6th postion. Romain Duguet and the 9 years old stallion Vancouver de Lanlore (Toulon) stopped the clock in 38’12 to take the lead but it was Switzerland’s Olympic champion Steve Guerdat and his promising 9 years old Amlamo who raced around the track and crossed the timers faultsfree in 36’63 to claim the win. Daniel Deusser and Tobago Z (Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve) winners of last week’s Grand Prix, settled for 3rd in Helsinki.
