Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of Switzerland

SHARE

In a highly dramatic Longines FEI Nations Cup, Team France triumphed like in 2018. In the jump-off between France, Italy and Switzerland the “Equipe tricolore” had the best end for itself. The jump-off rider Guillaume Foutrier remained immaculate in the saddle of Valdocco des Pres in 44.09 seconds and thus enabled his team to win. Half a second longer needed Giulia Martinengo Marquet on Elzas for the barrage and secured Italy place two. Steve Guerdat rode with Albführen’s Bianca as the first rider in the jump-off and had to accept a drop in the double combination. The time would have been enough for the victory if the round had been flawless.

In both rounds it was always close at the top. The Swiss team with Martin Fuchs on Chaplin (4+0), Niklaus Rutschi on Cardano CH (4+0), Paul Estermann on Lord Pepsi (0+0) and Guerdat showed a great team performance. For the victorious French, Foutrier (0+4), Pénélope Leprevost on Vancouver de Lanlore (0+0), Nicolas Delmotte with Urvoso du Roch (0+0) and Kevin Staut on Calevo (4+4) rode alongside Foutrier (0+4).
