Niels Bruynseels and Delux van T&L win Longines Grand Prix of Basel.



Only two weeks after their win in the Master of Mechelen, Niels Bruynseels and Delux van T&L (Toulon) ended victorious again in yesterday’s Longines Grand Prix of Basel.
A total of 14 horse and rider combinations cleared round one to advance to the jump iff where first to go, Philippe Rozier and Cristallo LM (Casall) set the pace and stopped the clock in a very fast time of 37’47. The next riders tried hard but no one vcould improve their time untill Niels Bruynseels and his 10 years old gelding Delux van T&L flew over the track to take the lead with a time of 36’81 that could not be beaten and earned them the win. Holland’s Marc Houtzager and Sterrehof’s Calimero (Quidam de Revel) squeezed in between to settle for runner up position with a time of 36’85.
